Solid colour nails

One shade, done properly, in rust, terracotta, deep teal, ink black, oat cream, ochre or butter yellow. Two thin coats beat one thick one every time, and the finish is almost entirely down to prep: buff, base coat, cure each layer, then gloss top and cuticle oil. The trend library takes it into sheerer territory as well, with jellies, watercolour tints and matte finishes in mocha, espresso, cobalt and cherry.
